Year 10 Programming Principles - Game Design

During Semester 1 students studied Programming Principles using Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition. For this task students were required to design, produce and evaluate a game that could be used for educational or entertainment purposes.

The games below are some of the most impressive created by our Year 10s. Each student used the Technology Process as they investigated game ideas, devised what type of game they would make, and designed the logic behind each step.

You will need to download and install Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0. Follow this link and follow the instructions. When you have installed the .Net Framework save the games to your hard drive by clicking the link and then Save. Click Run when the game has been saved.

We hope that you enjoy the games.

Maze by Aron Lawson: Aron and Jake’s concepts are similar but their bonus features are original. Aron’s use of teleports has made his game difficult and surprising.
