Behaviour Management
Good Standing policy
The concept of Good Standing was introduced into Ocean Reef SHS to reward students who are supportive and cooperative in the school and to encourage other students to improve their general performance. Every student will begin the school year with Good Standing. This entitles the students to the freedom, rights and privileges of the school. Those students who maintain a Good Standing status will have this attainment noted on the school reference. Students may lose their Good Standing by falling short of the performance required in regard to behaviour, work standards, dress, or attendance. Students in this position will have a notation placed in their student files and may be refused permission to attend school functions, carnivals, the School Ball, camps, work experience or excursions until the status of Good Standing is returned. The status of Good Standing may be withdrawn by the Deputy Principal on the advice of staff and the approval of the Principal.
