The school library is an integral part of the school community, providing a welcoming, user-centred, collaborative and flexible hub for the whole school community. Our focus is on enriching and supporting the teaching and learning programmes of the school and ensuring that the information needs of students are met.
The library is equipped with desktop computers and laptops for student use. Students and teachers can use a number of online resources, including e-books, databases and ClickView, a digital video system. These resources are available across the whole school network and at home through the library catalogue.
Books are still an important part of our resource collection. Our library boasts a large collection of fiction and non-fiction books, that support the English curriculum as well as reading for pleasure and relaxation. The library has a wonderful reading area where students can enjoy reading in a relaxed environment.
The library is open to students Monday to Friday 8.20 am to 3.30 pm, including all breaks except Friday recess.
