Ocean Reef Senior High School welcomes applications for enrolments for Year 7 in 2025 for all prospective students residing in our local intake area.
Ocean Reef Senior High School is a local intake school and we welcome enquiries from families residing within our local intake area.
Families are encouraged to enrol their children for Year 7 in the year prior. Please refer to Schools Online website (Department of Education) to locate your home for boundary demarcation and determine if you reside within our schools boundary. Alternatively please refer to the Local Intake Map.
Year 7 2025 – apply to enrol by Friday, 3 May 2024.
Local Intake Area
Families residing within our local intake area are invited to contact our Enrolments Officer on 6206 2700 for an Enrolment pack, visit Administration or complete Form A below and submit with requested documents.
Out of Intake Area
Families residing outside our local intake area are invited to complete Form B below and submit to the school with your child’s latest school report.
Applying to Specialist Programs
Ocean Reef Senior High School offers a number of Specialist Programs to cater for the special interests and aptitudes of its students. Students are eligible to apply to a Specialist Program if they reside in or outside of our local intake area.

There is a unique application process for each program which opens early in the year before your child is due to commence Year 7. Please refer to the relevant program page for further information, or the website calendar for application closing dates.

Applicants who reside out of our local intake area may also be considered through completing an Expression of Interest for Enrolment.
For all families interested in applying to enrol, please begin the process by completing the Expression of Interest form along with submitting your child’s latest school report.
Enrolment at Ocean Reef Senior High School is a two stage process for families wishing to enrol.
Part 1 – Expression of Interest for Enrolment
If you are interested in enrolling at Ocean Reef Senior High School, please complete the Expression of Interest for Enrolment form along with submitting the student’s latest school report. The Principal will consider the information provided and determine if the child is eligible for enrolment.
All applications will receive a response at the earliest convenience of the school.
Part 2 – Enrolment
If your child is approved for enrolment, you will be provided with further information by the school and required to lodge an Enrolment form. The school may request further information to support the planning for an appropriate education program for your child.
Enrolments for students for Year 7 to 12 within our local intake area are open all year. A child is guaranteed enrolment at Ocean Reef Senior High if their usual place of residence is within the local intake area; they are an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia or hold an approved temporary residence visa; and are under the age of eighteen years of age. Please contact our Enrolment Officer on (08) 6206 2700 to discuss enrolment.
Applicants who do not meet these criteria may be considered through the enrolment application process but are not guaranteed enrolment. Where a child’s usual place of residence is not in the local intake area, an application for enrolment may be considered if the school will have places available for local students for the duration of the child’s enrolment and can meet the educational requirements of the child.
All families retain the right to apply to enrol their children at any public school. Applications received from outside the local intake area will continue to be considered by the school in line with the enrolment priority table below.

| 3rd priority from outside the local intake area | Child who does not have a sibling enrolled at the school in that year, or who has a sibling enrolled in a specialist program, and who lives nearest the school. |
